The current game can't receive updates at all because of flash limitations. Think BoI+WotL with a 16 bit style and new items/bosses/floors etc. It's a completely separate game made from scratch. OK, So then what's the fate for the current BoI game? Will it still receive updates and bugfixes and whatever, or is McMillan's developer support going to be focussed entirely on Rebirth? In other words, is there going to be any point in anyone buying the flash-based game when rebirth is released, or is there going to be some incentive on bringing the old Isaac out of purgatory?
